Good News: Take the $20k & Keep Your Stuff
Don’t you just love a positive news story? It seems all that ever gets reported is the poor economy, crime, tragedy, pain and death… but we all know there are some great stories out there, right?
Here is one I came across today that I wanted to pass along…
Due to the expensive medical care two of their children need, Gregg and Brittiny Peters, a couple from Georgia put everything they own, except their house, on eBay. Now this doesn’t appear to be some couple who has charged up their credit cards and made a bunch of other poor decisions to get themselves in a financial mess. They are genuinely in need and have worked hard at keeping their modest home and caring for their children.
Well, the eBay auction was won by a couple from Texas, Donnia and Keith Blair… with a $20,000 bid. But here is the kicker, the Blairs aren’t planning on picking up the goods. They are paying the 20k but leaving the items at the Peters’ home.
The Peters are saying they don’t want the money… they aren’t looking for a hand-out. They want to live up to their end of the bargain: an exchange of the belongings they posted for sale for the $20,000.
In response, the winning bidder Donnia Blair told the Associated Press, “She can just act like they’re my storage facility.”
Great story… read the rest here: Take the $20,000 & Keep your Stuff
Then stop back and leave your comments… peace.

Thanks for the follow on twitter man, as for your question “what has been keeping you busy these days?”- I have an HVAC business that has been pretty slow recently so ive been working on a book i started over a year ago for Christian College Students. I have about 110(23,000 words) pages so far. Im shooting for 220. Procrastination has been a big problem for me in my life and I’m planning on breaking that this year.
